Before you buy — check your phone is carrier-unlocked. A phone still locked to a carrier (common with financing or contract plans) cannot install any travel eSIM. On iPhone, check Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock — it should say “No SIM restrictions.” Your phone must also support eSIM (iPhone XS / 2018 and newer, most recent Android). Plans are data-only (no calls or SMS), and validity starts when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination. eSIMs cannot be refunded once delivered.
